We have one of the most cutting-edge, professionally-done, collaborative and entertaining podcasts in all existence. We stand behind our work at The Ceiling Fan and our team of talented writers, editors, actors, and sound designers are on the top of their game to bring you more podcasts. And we're sure you'll think it's awesome, too.

Kevin McCreary
Creator, Writer, Producer, Actor for The Ceiling Fan

On a warm summer night in the year 1987, Kevin McCreary had a life changing moment. He heard himself utter his first words. From that moment on, he knew what he wanted to do with the rest of his life ... listen to himself speak. Not long after Kevin's parents gave him a tape recorder, he discovered the ability to listen to himself even more. Since those early days, Kevin McCreary has earned his degree in Media Broadcasting at North Greenville University in South Carolina. He fulfilled his college internship with Focus on the Family, in Colorado Springs, and it was during this internship that he started The Ceiling Fan Podcast. His heart is in audio production and has done editing and production work for many projects including work as a regular editor of the Official Adventures in Odyssey Podcast. You can check him out at kmapstudios.com.

Mark Jones
Writer, Producer, Actor for The Ceiling Fan

Like his longtime friend and writing partner Kevin, Mark Jones talks far too much. Mark is the kind of man that excels at distractions and interruptions; in fact, his very birth caused his parents to miss an episode of the popular soap opera Guiding Light (don't worry, they had set the VCR so they could catch up later). Ever since earning a degree in broadcasting from North Greenville University, Mark has done very little in that field, opting to pay the bills by working in the bakery at Pub, a "big corporate grocery store based out of Florida," as well as at a call center talking to total morons for eight hours a day. He enjoys audio production, harmless role playing games (geek...), and quoting Arrested Development for enjoyment.

Loren Crisp
Artist, Writer, Actor for The Ceiling Fan

A picture speaks a thousand words. Apparently that's not enough or Loren would not have to write this bio. In 1992 at the young age of 0, Loren was brought into this world and began to make a name for himself (actually his parents made the name, but he thought it was pretty cool, anyway). Since his parents felt home schooling would be best for him, Loren grew up alongside his five siblings. As the fifth of six children, Loren inherited a large audience on which to perform almost constantly. Surprisingly, his siblings still like him after all of his annoying humor and tacky jokes. Loren was also drawn into art at an early age, but . . . well, he'll let his drawings speak the 1,000 words needed to relate this angle of his multi-faceted life. After sending in a spoof of The Ceiling Fan in early 2010, Loren was welcomed on the official "staff." You can hear that spoof on the Special Episode Ceiling Fan podcast.

Garrett Vandenberg
Actor, Writer, Producer, Musician for The Ceiling Fan

A long, long time ago, in a land called "Canada", a young child was born by the name of Garrett Vandenberg. As he grew up, he was quickly given the nickname "the bulldozer" because of his lack of gentleness and tact. Of course, this tactlessness soon got him a job as a drummer at the age of 3, and went on to begin playing drums at the age of 10. At 14, he took up singing and guitar. Not long after, Garretttouring the country in his worldwide famehad pity on those less fortunate than himself and agreed to join a nagging fans' silly Odyssey podcast. Now, he continues to create music tracks for said podcast, as well as grace the show with his angelic voice. Soon, Garrett went on to share his incredible humility and soft heart with The Odyssey ScoopCast, both co-hosting and co-writing. Garrett resides in various parts of the country with his family and occasional friends who have been helpful enough to donate time to ministry (Notice, as this biography was written by Mr. Vandenberg himself, certain facts may have been slightly enhanced to improve public figure. But he does tour the country.)

Jacob Isom
Website Consultant, Graphic Designer, Promotions for The Ceiling Fan

As an avid fan of basking under ceiling fans on hot summer days, Jacob Isom is one busy beaver. Having earned a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Pensacola Christian College in 2009, Jacob seeks to use his graphic design skills wherever needed. He enjoys the smell and taste of coffee, long walks on the beach, and the familiarity of routine. But creativity is what keeps this beaver bouncing. In fact, if a Jacob Isom body pillow ever became popular in a world of novelty items, Jacob would be the first to make the purchase. Jacob is also webmaster of The Odyssey Scoop, a popular Adventures in Odyssey fan site. For more information and samples of his work, visit

Nathan Hoobler - Acting, Interview
Nathan Hoobler is a producer and writer and all around "Do anything needed" guy for Adventures in Odyssey. Fortunately we've been able to pull him into a few episodes due to Kevin living in the same house as him. (Episode 2, Episode 28, Episode 31 Part 1.75)

Will Ryan - Acting
Will Ryan plays the role of Eugene Meltsner for Adventures in Odyssey. He helped us out in episode 30 by lending us one of the many voices hiding in his talented vocal cords. (Episode 31, part 2)

Arial Seppala - Acting
Arial played the character of Trish Leslie in a few episodes in the past. (Episode 4, Episode 11)

Brendon McFarland runs his own podcast called The Whit's End Podcast, under the alias Regis Blackbeard. He's helped out on a few episodes, acting as his own made up character. In the very first "Lash-Back" episode of The Ceiling Fan, his rivalry with the acclaimed "biggest Odyssey fan", Ethan Daniels, began when he called Ethan out in an episode of his podcast. (CFNN Special "The Lashback" With Ethan Daniels #1)

Cathy Vandenberg - Acting
Cathy Vandenberg played the voice of "The Narrator" in the 2010 Christmas special and is also Garrett Vandenberg's mom; hence, the last name. (Episode 32)

Chris Grubb - Interview, "Manualing"
Chris is a very talented man, but one of his truly most distinctive talents is to make music out of farting noises from his hands. It's truly an art form. (Episode 5)

Played the child from the hospital in the 2010 Christmas special. She and her brother also happen to be the cousins of our own Garrett Vandenberg. (Episode 32)

Isaiah Alviano - Acting

His popular Where Odyssey Not Feature at The Odyssey Scoop inspired our road trip series. (Episode 22, Intern James Episode 6)

Joanna Crisp has been featured in two episodes in Ceiling Fan history (as of yet). She is also Loren Crisp's sister. (Episodes 26, 31.5)

Kirsten Vandenberg - Acting
Kirsten lent us her voice to use in season 3 to play the character of "Random Kid". She's also Garrett's little sister. (Episode 34)

Laura Eller
Laura played Ethan Daniels' mom in two episodes in the past. However, as Her character hasn't been needed in quite a while, she hasn't worked with The Ceiling Fan in some time. (Episode 3, Episode 11)

Michael Jones - Acting
Mike is a pretty crazy dude, but thanks to Mark his brother, we got a chance to have him on the show to play the character of Eric Pierson back in the winter of 2009. (Episode 9)

Timothy Sarizon - Acting
In episode 18 of The Ceiling Fan podcast, Timothy did a very silly impression of the host Ethan Daniels to poke a little fun at the changing times of odyssey (with new actors playing old characters and such). (Episode 18)

Victoria Crowley - Interview, acting
Victoria Crowley portrayed a version of herself on The Ceiling Fan. Although she was never given the title of "Intern", She did a bit of intern stuff--kind of a building block for future interns to look up to. (CFNN Special "The Lashback" With Ethan Daniels #1, The Easter Special)
